Day 22 word of the day: ephemeral

Today we had a few outstanding nominations: unexpected (for how much of the beautiful rock formations, the hike, and view around delicate arch were unexpected), amphitheater (the natural one surrounding delicate arch) geology (is just so cool!!), delicate, and then ephemeral (the nature of delicate arch itself and the nature of our trip - it’s about the experience in the present, the journey, not the destination). Winner hands down: ephemeral. In addition to describing the moment in geological history in which we are able to experience a rock formation that will eventually be gone, this felt right in capturing the essence of our Airstream road-trip, where the adventures and joy come from the journey itself and the experiences of being present in the moment, taking in our surroundings and not focusing on the next place.
