Day 16: An other-worldly tour

Today we drove back into Arizona (our campsite is just barely in Utah) for a tour of Lower Antelope Canyon. Though this was not originally on our itinerary, we heard several recommendations and decided to try it. Boy, are we glad we did! Even though we were skeptical while waiting in lines with dozens of other tourists, once we were in the canyon, it was like no other place on earth. Around every corner was another incredible view of undulating layers of rock carved smooth by millennia of meticulous erosion. It really felt like exploring another planet, and the images below only partially capture it. Definitely a must see!
